Weigh-in: 266 pounds! That’s right, a wopping 8 pounds down! WOOT! Suddenly that kale is tasting a whole lot better!
I was going to make a video today, but I’ve been incredibly busy preparing for a presentation I have to give tomorrow. So, here’s how my day went.
Juicing this morning was a mess and took WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too much time. I am going to have to juice at night and bottle it. Luckily I have 4 bottles from the juices I bought at Whole Foods. They are the perfect size (16 oz each) and in my dark fridge, sealed overnight they won’t lose too much and I can have them nice and cold in the morning. Also, kale is backing up my poor Hurom Slow Juicer. Gotta figure out if I’m doing something wrong or if it is just the nature of the beast.
Work sucked today, there was a BBQ potluck and the building smelled so good. I forgot to bring my snack juice to work today, so I was only able to have my two juices (Mean Green). They got me through most of the day, but at about 3 PM, I about passed out I was so wasted from being hungry. I powered through with water, didn’t cheat on my way home, and had a refreshing juice instead. YUM! I was rewarded with that weigh-in, so I’m beside myself I’m so happy about this. I then decided to be adventurous. I had some tomatoes sitting around, so I juiced those, 2 parsnips and some basil. The book I have (The Big Book of Juices) says that this will taste like my favorite salad ever, Caprese salad. NOT!!!! This was AWFUL. *sad panda* I still drank it though, I wanted the benefits even if the taste was awful.
As I write this, I have all my juices made. Still need to clean the machine after the last juice, and then it is off to lullaby land for me. Here’s what’s on the menu tomorrow.
Breakfast: Sunrise Juice (carrot, beet, orange juice)
Lunch: Mean Green (Kale, green apple, cucumber, pineapple, lemon)
Snack: Peach, Apple, Carrot juice <–YUM!
Dinner: Mean Green(Kale, green apple, cucumber, pineapple, lemon)
Dessert: Homemade Cashew Milk with Agave, & Cinnamon
I do need to get my butt to bed earlier. I think it would make this easier. Also, I need to drink more water. I got up to 6 cups today, but was not good about the last two cups. I joined MyFitnessPal.com today to track my calories, water, and exercise. I did super well on that today.
